    Hello to all Bro/Sis

I am new to this forum, I am a Sinagporean. Just happen to google for fish and come to this forum by accident... use to serve in arofanatics.com but find that the variety in this forum is richer as in variety and expertist command.

Currently i'm look for "Black Morpho Tetra (Poecilocharax weitzmani)"

    Fish Information
Name: Black Morpho Tetra (Poecilocharax Weitzmani)
    Temperature 23 - 28 C (74 - 82 F)
    Temperament Peaceful, keep in groups
    Maximum Size 1.5"

Is there anyone seen this fish selling in Singapore? because i just went to Biotope to look for it and i couldn't find it.

Not say never try, I did ask Azmi, but like any other LFS, risk factor on the Dead on Arrival (DOA) is something abit for him to swallow. He indicated he will bring in only if the consignment is big enough. As much as I would like to get my hands on a 100 pieces, I don't have the tank capacity for them. So I need to pull in other people who are keen in getting them. My last batch was from Aquanature, really wonder if they will bring in again. Was told that they were hard to come by. I even went down to Gan's, same reason too with them. It is also for the same reason, they are slowly gearing themselves into bringing in more common spieces.

The DOA this is really a problem.. many shops dont dare to bring in these fishes because the death rate is high.. those that are willing to do so like the Uncle at chiong sua has already closed their shop.. Many fishes are like that.. for example Microrasbora kubotai..i heard are quite fragile for shipment but stabalise once in the tank. I think these are even more sensitive...so shop owners are weary.. if 50% dies on shipment its really LPPL for the shop owners man.

Sadly, the last batch I got from the now defuncted Choong Sua Aquarium has expired recently. Fairly fragile fish in my opinion.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
