I am interested to install a tap water filter because somehow the water in the area I live in smell weird especially if it is left overnight in a bottle.
In the hardware stores I find all sorts of under-sink water filter (those sold by NA as CO2 reactor) but can anyone tell me the various areas to look out for when choosing a filter /filter-media? How much does the filter affect the flow-rate? If you are suggesting a specific type of media, please also let me know where I can buy it. Thanks.

Maverick, that is a different model.

The one I am refering to is the Gurgle F18 model that is not retailed locally. It is also the only ultra-filtration filter from Hyflux. Check the spec here: http://www.hyflux.com/pdt_gurgle.html.
