Problem with chiller

Hey i am new to this post. I have been looking for info on my chiller because its giving me an error message E1. Its a Resun C0500 chiller, its like 5 years old and i bought used (no user manual). I also bought a RANCO controller to get a more stable temperature differencial.

The E1 message began a few weeks ago and the temperature changes like 10 degrees. I didn't notice the error message till i bought the controller, but i bought it to fix the 10 degrees of difference i was having. An actually the the controller made it worst because the chiller dosent seem to work properly with it.

My guess is that the error message should have the same meaning in all resun chiller, so if anyone can help me i will be greatfull. THANKS!

Wow, you bought a 2nd hand Resun C0500 which had been used for 5 years! Usually, for a 2nd hand Resun chiller, it is advisable to buy if it is not more than 2 years or so. But in your case, it is advisable to send your unit for maintenance repair or top up of liquid refrigerant as 5 years is already too long. Ask the maintenance person to clean the chiller too. A difference of 10 degrees already indicate that it's cooling capacity is not as it should be. So I guess it's time to send your unit for maintenance. Also, there is a sticky thread on top of this section with a manual for a Resun CL650. Should be similar.
