    Hi bros,

Would like to seek your advice on which one to get for my 14" tank....

    1. Need some feedbacks regarding this two chillers
    2. Which will be more suitable in terms of energy saving, noise and whether is it able to chill down my tank to about 25 degrees..
    3. What's the price like for a new set and a 2nd hand

    Just to share my experience.
I have used both CL85 and CL280. And also DIY peltier chiller.
for 1ft tank, CL85 and DIY will work fine.
For >1.5ft, I personally think it is better to go for CL280.
Also, it depends on the temperature you are targetting. Peltier depends very much on ambience temperature.
Just my 5 cents worth... hope it helps.

    I used a powerhead, EHEIM 1002.
I partition 1/4 of my tank, at the back for filter, CO2 reactor and powerhead. Like the clean look without equipments.

Go for excess cooling capacity if you can. Otherwise sure regret when you have to buy a CL85 and change it to a CL280 later . Plus excess cooling capacity will be much more economical in the long run as it takes a shorter time to cool the tank .

CL280 is much better than CL85 in terms of cooling capability. It takes the most 10mins to cool my 2 ft tank. It is quiet but big. Check out the new CL200, I saw it @ NA. Think that is much smaller than CL280.
