Your first photo is not displayed in full.

Lots of open space for fish to swim. Your tank looks deep -- great for tall plants. What's the size?

Hope to see your tank and specs in the "My Tanks" listing.

    It's a 3ft tank.
Tank Spec. can be seen in "MyTanks" section.
Photo taken with the foreground mini riccia and riccia not fully grown yet.

Hopefully at that time manage to get my friend digital cam again.

Hey James, looks very calm and soothing! Just wonder if the plants at the bottom gets enough light.

BTW, you realise the fish in pic 2 is not an SAE? Just wondering cos you didn't list any flying fox in your "my tank" listing.

Yup, it's a flying fox and SAE is in the following pic. I hv missed that out
    in the "MyTank" spec.

That green tiger lotus is going to flower soon. It has flower several times previously and it's flower is yellow in color.
Following after that will be "Baby Tiger Lotus Plantlets" again.
What am i going to xchange with next or i just give it away? [] [] [] []

Hi James, you mean tiger lotus will flower with emersed leaves? Doesn't it produce floating leaves first? Mine has been growing like crazy but then it always produce floating leaves which I had to trim away (makes very good bookmkars [:] ) but never any flowers.

From my xperience with them, it is better not to cut those floating leave if u want it to flower. From the pic, i din cut the floating leave because i want to flower and then collect more baby lotus.[].
Like the chinese saying, "Kai Hua Jei Guo" []

I did cut the floating leave at one time and it din flowered for 2 months.

mmm, unfortunately the floating leaves are so big they block out all the lights. I'll see what I can do. I have some tiger lotus in a pond outside and I let them grow floating leaves, but still no flowers []

Hmmm, this means your baby lotuses are not shoots from the main plant?

Have planted them. One of them is down to one leaf after I cut off the rotting one. The other one is untwisting itself to face the leaves to the light.

How are is my 'baby' doing?

Btw, nice tank. [] Would llove to see it when the riccia fills in the gaps in between.

It is better to cut off the floating leaves...
If you dun cut them, all the new shoot will be floatng leaves..

And, they do block lots of lights.

That's a double red. Hv a hard time taking that picture.

Yup, i do not want to cut the floating leaves for the time being. I want it to flower and then collect some baby lotus that soot out before cutting them. From past xperience, once the leave is cut, it will not flower and no baby lotus soot.
Yes, It will block out some light but the bottom plants still look ok.

    James,

Errr... bad news. The lotus you gave me has produced a new leaf... and it looks exactly like the one I gave you. Unless my lotus just put a out shoot EXACTLY where I planted yours.

Interesting that plant colouration can look so different in diffrent tanks/substrate. Are you using any subsrate fert? What about other fertilisation?

For those who are curious, I will post a picture tomorrow.
