    Hi,
    as above...is it suitable?...shrimp need alkaline water while ada soil is abit acidic...am i right?

    Ada soil are good for rearing shrimps, it is good at controlling PH level.
    The Happiest of people don't neccessary have the best of everything;

    ada soil is definitely good for shrimps. I'm having it for my 1.5feet tank for cherries keeping.
    The only problem is that initally, due to the pH and all the ammonia, etc, you would actually need to do frequent water change to condition the water.

    Some shrimps need acidic while others need alkaline water. It is not one pH fits all. Just do a seach on water parameters for each type you are interested in .
