A new genus name, Cryptoheros has been erected for the convict cichlid and its close relatives. So Archocentrus should be changed to Cryptoheros like C. nigrofasciatus etc. except for the following fishes:
A. centrarchus
A. spinossissimus

So many classifications, so many Re-Classifications.
In the case of cichlids, not all should be instantly recognised.
Re-evaluation is common.
