some would advise you to age the water over night in a pail before pouring it into the tank
It seems to me that after a water change, I will see 1-2 fish die the next day.
If I change 20% of the water, I tend to see one fish die.
Yesterday, I change about 50% of the water and today I have one Yamato, one Guppy and one Golden Mellow joining the dead list. I conditioned my water with FritzGuard and Aquarium Salt before changing water.
Does this happen to you? Or you have a safe way to changing water? Or is it just normal to see that happening?

Or add dechlorinators.
Psst...beware of the armless swordsman!

New setup tank. Can give somemore infor?
It's not just "Step1: Add Water, Step2: Add Fish" If everything else don't work, add plastic plants and fish
My tank is 3-4 weeks old and yes I age it overnight.
What kind of fishes die? Did they jump out? Jumping out means water is bad, not ready, die in tank. Maybe due to improper introduction into tank, die with good fish coloration and no body damage or anything visual unusual means too high a c02.

Use dechlorinator with aged water first.
Second, get some good bacteria solution such as nutrafin cycle.
Third, use geoliquid, expensive, but effective.
Lastly, get a netted cover, might be because they freak out when the light suddenly turns on.
I think Fritz Guard™ is a dechlorinator. According to the linked webpage, they recommend you to use a ammonia remover to remove the residual ammonia from chloramine after the Fritz Guard™ treatment and prior to adding the treated water into your tank.
Do not discount the possibility that the fish deaths can be due to other causes. Water change might just be causing stress to the fish that trigger deaths while other pre-existing conditions may already be affecting the fishes.
