Tank - I'm not sure, but does this kind of tank have a cover? If so, you may want to check the water temperature, especially when the lights are switched on.

One more thing to take note, is whether the oxygen is your setup enough to handle the bioload in it.

Cardinal tetras - I've read somewhere that these are best added to matured setups...

FLORENCE, capital of the region of Tuscany, has a population of around half a million inhabitants, spreads on the banks of the Arno, between the Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian seas, almost in the middle of the Italian peninsula. It is a city which bustles with industry and craft, commerce and culture, art and science.

I think most likely is that my water's gH is high. The funny thing is that my Rummy Noses are still alive. Maybe I got a hardier variation of Rummy Nose? The ones I have have redness over the gills.

I'm going to stop adding Cardinals till I resolve the gH first.

And yes, it seems like Cardinals are best added to matured tanks. I was told by the LFS staff so that's why I've stopped.

Sorry about your loss, but redness in gills? Could be the classic ammonia poisoning.

    Regards

Which is a classic symptom of the classic case of adding too many too soon... I thought we discussed this point in an earlier post?... Try not to add any new fish again until the filter is mature and then add in small numbers slowly...

Yes, I must have missed that out... That's why I've stopped.

And now, I'm trying out breeding X-Ray Tetras.
