    Green water and algae are the scourge of planted tanks over here and yet I saw in a goldfish forum, some would go all the way out to culture green water ...Couldn't help but find this really ironical

    Perhaps those having not much luck getting rid of green water should switch to keeping ranchus
    ...I love rubies too ...

    You want green water. Haha, leave your water containing lots of fish water in the sun. My turtle pond if filtration is off turn green in less than no time.

    well I don't want my fish to die.. lol..

    how about filter sponge mixed with water and THEN left out in the sun in a small tank?

    would that work?

    I would try it myself just for the fun of it but I'm also kind in a hurry for a workable solution.. :P
