I'm interested in a "U" shaped one, if it's not too expensive.
Hey guys, for those of you whom are interested I could get this done in acrylic and you can either have them in 'U' or 'L' shape. These will be great for connecting your CO2 hose without having to bend them. I do not have the price yet but I will have it tomorrow. Let me know if you're interested.

P.S. This is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.
What are the sizes that you are making?Originally Posted by Splendid Warrior
They will be in standard CO2 tubing size and I'm thinking of getting in 6 inch length with the width between the 'U' at 3cm wide. I don't think they will be too expensive... definitely less than $10 per piece.
can you make lilie pipes?

No. Acrylic cannot be shaped that way,Originally Posted by Rupert

Hey, if they're $5, or less, I'll take 3.

Sorry guys, forgotten about this.. Anyway, a 1 metre length if 6mm tube can be bought from Artfriend in Bras Basah complex for $3, you can then have them bent to 'elbows' or 'Us'. Just heat them over your stove very slowly (moving the tube all the time). It'll be helpful if you can use a can or bottle of the right diameter as a guide for bending 'Us'.
ehmm would this method of forming causes acrylic on the both inner and outer wall to collapse, thus reducing the internal diameter radius of the pipe causing low flowrate when one side of the tubes is bend?Originally Posted by Splendid Warrior
If you look at the Ehiem bend tubes there is a parting line on the side which is result for a molding process. These mould allow you to form almost any shape. The acrylic tube however are made through an extrusion process that is suitable for straight tubes with less profile.![]()
Give it a try thought! Pls post some pic of the finished pipes!!!![]()

It wouldn't really help.Originally Posted by Splendid Warrior
There are tools that look like springs to be inserted into such PVC or acylic pipe for bending (with heat of course). However, I am not sure if the correct size is available.
It worked for me. I have a 'U' joint which is connected between my beetle diffuser and bubble counter. The bending was done by my tank maker though. The acrylic tube is exactly the same diameter as the CO2 tubes sold in the market. I'll try and post a pic later.
Ok, here's the snapshot. The 'U' bend and 'elbow' connecting the bubble counter to the one-way valve are all fabricated from one acrylic tube.

I didn't see him do it but he told me that's how he does it all the time. This guy's really good with acrylic.Originally Posted by Goondoo

I got experience bending copper and PVC pipes when I was learning Electrical. It is nearly impossible to have a "balance" and round bend without using those spring. The "stretching" side will collapsed down without the "spring" tool, will crack without enough heat.Originally Posted by Splendid Warrior
But I must say again, I had never handle acylic tube before.
