Just take out the head, turn on the electricity and see. The inpeller will not fly out, even if it does not turn if there is a slight vibration the pump is not dead. Better than lugging it to Qian Hu right?

imo, the motor can't die as a result of impeller not spinning, I believe eheim filters because they allow you to restrict flow at the input side, is not affected. (forgot what type of technology this is called.)

so a) impeller damage or stuck, try taking out the impeller and note that both rubber stoppers are present.

then turn the power without it being attached to the canister itself, to see if its a problem

Nothing seems to be wrong with the impellar... The rubber parts are still around, the ceramic shaft is still intact, the impellar body is still intact as well...

KF and Thio were at my place during lunch and they felt that the motor is dead as there is absolutely no noise or vibrations when the filter is switced on... I will do the 'test' that Nicky suggested before finally going to Qian Hu...

Can I know when did you purchase that set?

Tried Nicky's method and the impellar spins, after I pushed it a little... But once I put the motor back on the cannister, it stops moving again...

*Sigh*... Think it is going to Qian Hu for a checkup...

Sent to Qian Hu for a checkup... I almost fainted at the problem...

There are supposed to have 2 rubber studs on each end of the impellar shaft. When I checked the impellar, I only saw one and had assumed that it is normal. One of the rubber studs had worn off and the ring stuck on the shaft. This caused the impellar housing not able to catch the impellar properly and thus no spinning and no movement.

The staff changed the rubber studs for me and then lubricate the priming 'button' of the 2026 and the filter is working again...

A lesson learnt... Luckily it is not expensive...

Leaking could be due to the big rubber gasket or the small 'O' ring.

The guy just changed the rubber studs and charged me for the impellar shaft, which the studs come with. He did not charge me for the lubrication and the checks... Maybe it is because my filter is still under warranty.

Chris, my studs came with the shaft and not the impellar... The impellar I bought from C328 did not have anything else with it...

Wah this particular eheim series seems to have alot of problems from a few treads that i've read. Do you all still recommend buying this series or the 222x series?

    Why not?
Considering that Justikanz filter is nearly 2 years...

But one thing to maybe note is that when buying second hand Pro II, it might be good to take note in future... Also on the conditions of the O-rings...

If necessary, get new ones, don't risk a leak in the middle of the night... That's the worst nightmare we can get...
