Have anyone bother to setup tanks to breed cheap bee or bumble bee shrimps?

Bee shrimps are not easy shrimp, they requirement can be higher than CRS, especially those wild caught one.

Understand that at overseas, hobbyists attempt to breed them as they have to pay a lot of each of them. I wander if anyone setup expensive equipment to keep them alive, breed them and enjoy their beauty? Or just buy and pour them into a tank, hopefully they live, if not, will buy another packet to try again?

Yup definitely more demanding, can always see the shrimps carrying eggs but you don't see any babies.

Yup, i bought 50 bumblebee shrimps from Clementi 328. I got 5-6 out of 50 very good quality which are solid white and black. Managed to have 25 survived. The rest "Kong Ka Kiao" (EDIT: kicked the bucket) already.

I have 2 tanks, 2 ft with chiller (temperature, 25C) and external canister with waterfall (aeration), 3ft tank (temperature around 27C with colling fan). No change of water since 2 months ago and no CO2 system.

I noticed that with the driftwood and alot of moss, higher chance for survival. For those survived, they slowly gained cloudy white or browness on their bodies ( quite ugly ) :P .

The shrimp are doing well, they are as active as the cherries. I keep the temperature under 26 degrees at all times, they will die if it gets too high. I will keep you updated as I continue to raise them.
