Can't see clearly, but it is either a dragonfy or damselfly nymph, depending on whether the gills are present at the 'tail' area... Remove as many as you can see... They hunt small fish and shrimps...

It's not just "Step1: Add Water, Step2: Add Fish" If everything else don't work, add plastic plants and fish

Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...
Seems there is alot of them going around, given the number of threads on them in the past few months.
most likely from the plants, unless your tank is outside the house and there are dragonflies ;P, but seriously, you need to remove them ASAP
put 1 or 2 puffers in there... make sure the size of the puffer is big enough to eat it!
This thing is like 2 cm, the puffer will be like what 6 to 8cm![]()

this would be cool if you had archer fish.. haha..
It is larva of dragonfly. I used to find lot of them in my Koi Pond filter and the waterway. Wonder how dragonfly gets to lay eggs in your tank.
I kept one to see what it grows up to be. Will these larva eat small fish and CRS?

Dragonfly nymphs are predators and will hunt and eat small preys up to about double their own sizes.Originally Posted by vincentlii
