Looks nice. How long has it been?
Chicken poo as fertiliser? First time I hear it used in a tank.
Where did you get it?

Until the recent bird flu scare, Pulau Tekong fish farmers used to rely on chicken poo as fish feed!Originally Posted by juggler

Been running for about 6 months.
Currently inhabited by around 15 cardinals and less than 10 cories / otos / shrimps. Looking for some pygmies if anyone has them for sale.
Horti has dried chicken poo for sale. NTUC should stock them (very cheaply). These are sterilised by high heat burning in case any of you are concerned about bugs. Negligible smell.
Check out the nutrient analysis of the dried poo - high in N and K, moderate P and quite well loaded with Fe and other micros. They come in pellets so it's very easy to spread them as a base fertiliser and / or to insert them as and when necessary.
Interesting. What are the gravel that you are using?
Gravel is baked clay pellets by ocean free.
Chicken poo works wonderfully as substrate ferts for my tanks. Crypts, lotus and rotalas especially love it.
