Journey to amazing Thailand

"Sawat dee krup!!!"

When I found out a budget airline was offering free ticket (excluding airport tax) to everyone, I quickly grabbed the air ticket to Thailand. This is my second time to Thailand, but this is my first time to go out of Bangkok city.

It was a short trip but yet it's an "introduction" for me to get to know the natural history of Thailand; the flora & fauna, the terrain & everything.

I will be back to visit or explore with my friends in Thailand in the future.

Behind those mountains are probably Myanmar. We're collecting fish near the Thailand-Myanmar border.

Next location: The water in this canal is almost stagnant. Water ph is 7.0.

By the time we reached the habitat of Betta sp. "Mahachai", it was pretty late. We got half an hour to hunt the fish before the darkness fall.

I was very surprised to see such a unique habitat of this wild siamese fighting fish in the Nipah palm swamp.....I never thought this kind of swamp got Betta!!!

Unfortunately, we failed to catch any Betta except the most common fish in South East Asia, croaking gourami.

On the way back,we bought 2 pair of Betta sp. "Mahachai" which were caught the local staying near the swamp.....only 10 Baht each....Damn cheap!!!!

but all the Globba look like that what. the one in Bk Timah also same shape, just white colour. SBG also have the orange flower one, but obviously that was planted.

At night, my friends brought me to Gekko at a limestone hill near Sara Buri. There are 4 species of Gecko endemic to Thailand found in this area....Lucky me., I managed to see & photographed 4 of them that night at a limestone hill & caves....
