    I totally agree with him. Looks like singapore moss i meant be wrong as picture not very clear.

    i only have java and taiwan moss in my tank....perhaps some slip into the filter. its growing on a layer of dark algea.

    it is growing emersed or submersed? don't look like any of the moss you have.

    Emm... If you take a look near the drain, you may find similar mosses like this. Looks like fissiden huh

    I doubt this moss can be grown submersed. I tried it before and well nothing goes well.

    Wow, looks nice...so moss can grow on filter medium!

    I suppose the filter medium must b rich in nutrients for the moss to grow so well.

    yah 24 hours got light, cos put in office. but its those desktop flourescent tube, quite weak.

    This kind of moss think is the exact ones you find in the drain or on the carpark concrete slabs. Looks like you have a natural terrarium going on. So long its moist, it grows. Did I saw some pellia in your first pics? Cheers.

    erm not sure lelh. i only had riccia (pest), moss and java fern in my tank. only possible that moss and riccia landed in the filter sponge compartment

    To me 100% confirm its pellia, cause i'm keeping it. Unless you've got a super zoom on it, then probably i'm wrong. Anyway it looks good.

    Moss grows diffenently when emmersed. Could be one of the species that you have.

    What you have looks good, hopefully it'll propogate along the filter media.

    I wonder if it plays a role in the filtration process?
