Just bought a pack of Yamato shrimps from C328 3 days ago... when i put them in my planted tank, they all seem to just gather at 1 corner of the tank... well not all of them but out of 20, at least 12-15... they do take an occasional swim round i guess they're hungry... they're still doing it even now... day and night...i have only 4 otto in there, nothing to scare them! any idea why they like to relax at 1 corner? heh heh

well my cherries do the same thing
got like 20 over 30 of them
but never see more than 10 out in the open
they always hide in one corner also
got a small empty space between a dw and my stem plants "forest"
    whole gang all there.
but due to positioning was unable to count them all there accurately

By all possible means try to accustom or slowly let the yamoto shrimps ( and all fishes) adjust to their new water environment. The gathering to a corner indicates they are trying to 'escape' this new environment.

If attempt was done to slowly accustomize them, then I could be wrong.

Most likely in front of the computer screen if the status is green.

Gathering not a good sign. Shows that they are stressed. Just before my shrimp got hit by an ammonia spike that is what they did. Just gathered at a corner by the filter outlet.
