    Discovered an individual popping in and out of several holes along the river bank earlier today. Interesting... i never knew fish could create or even use rabbit like burrows

    I recall reading in TFH that larger plecos dig burrows in the river banks to hide and spawn too.

    I have seen this before when my grandma's pond was still around in Jln Ulu Sembawang. My cousin and I then saw a armoured catfish (released by someone) swam out from a burrow at the side of the pond. He jumped in a put his hand inside the burrow and retrieved a ball of orangy egg mass. Amazing.

    Aww... the poor fish.. Anyway i'll try to get a video camera down to the river on sat. Any idea how it digs though? i can't imagine how it manages to get any traction underwater...
