Riccia floating

my riccia is growing too well and can see that some of then loosen out and float to water surface, I do not want to move the dw, otherwise the soil will be disturb.
What can I do? and thanks for all suggestion.

u either gotta trim them off, which will make them look less bushy or the other best option is wat u don't want, that is to retie them
