Using a Fluval 303, don't know how the air got inside the filter. Initially the filter is air free and operating well but after some days, the air seems to build up inside the filter. No skimmer device is attached to the filter and the inlet pipe is wrapped with filter sponge to prevent CRS from being sucked in.

Any genius can solve my problem?

You have an air leak some where along the filter hose. What you could do is to push in the hose deeper into their connecting pipes. Or the other cause is that you did not cut the edge of the hose cleanly level. The serrated edge of the hose is slowly leaking air into the hose instead of water leaking out.

    Hope this helps!
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.

All hoses are cut at 90 degree to prevent the problem mentioned. and tighten with spanner. The hose are also pushed in to the maximum depth. If there is a leak, water should be the first sign.

With the 303, are you using the original taps? If so then I suggest you check the taps, coz there is where the leak usually is. I changed mine to eheim taps because of this.
