    Help need advise,
I have a 72"Lx18"Wx29"H tank that is 150 gallons I'm planning on planting, I just ageed to buy a Sunlight Suppy Tek T5 fixure that has 8 ea. 39watt bulbs. The fixture is 48" long and 19" wide, However the width from relector to reflector is 16". I have 3 questions.
    1. Does anyone have any experience with a suspended T5 fixture that is not as long as the tank? The one I have seen was on a reef tank and it seem to light the entire tank. Will it work on a planted tank?
    2. Is this lighting overkill?
    3. Should I be concerned that the overall width of the fixure is an inch wider than the tank?
I'am starting to worry about all this and I don't want to waste any more money any advise will be appreciated, Thanks

    Welcome to AQ Jmil!

Does the TEK light comes in 5ft length? I know T5 has a 5ft length tube with 80w wattage. You could go with that. Plan 1st before purchasing the 5ft TEK light if it exist. My only worries is the depth of the tank. With a higher light placement, you might want to use additional light eg 6x80w or more.
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.

Thanks for your response BFG, I was mistaken the bulbs are 8 each and 54 watts and the TEK fixture is not available in a 5ft length,
