Just a heads up for people looking for a cabinet for those size tanks, I happened to see one at NA on Sat. Size of the top is 50cm and has a small cabinet at the bottom (with a hole drilled at the back board) where you can probably fit in a 2213 (I think)...

Price wise, of course more expensive than a stand (if you can find a 1.5ft one)...

Because a 1.5ft tank is only 45cm in length?

    haha yeah i know that.
but i feel safer with a few more inches either side
just a teeny 2 cm on each side doesnt seem to be very stable to me..

    just my opinion

anyway what wood is it made of?

With smaller tanks, it is usually plywood with lamination...
And it is also the case for the cabinet I saw...

But a stand not have much of a space around the tank ar... Why must cabinet have more space?
