What do you do when 1 of your fish decides to go for a hunger strike?

Is he sick? Was he eating the same food before without complain? Any sudden changes to his environment? Any more information?

Observe the fish whether he is under stressed from some other fishes...
If it is, try to isolate the culprit and then observe the fish again...

Try to do target feeding in small amounts, fending off other fishes in the process... Hope that will work for you...

    It did for me...

Depends on what I feed... When I feed frozen food, I use a pincer and dangle the food in front of that fish... If any one else comes, I hit it away with the same pincer... Especially my SAE...

I put the fish in a isolation box inside the tank. I feed the fish same as other fish...floating fish food..

In the isolation tank, put abit of moss if you can so that the fish feels safer and not stressed...

Try to bring the food to it instead, I believe others can recommend some tonic for it...

    Hi Stephen,
Identifying the species could help alot here, if not you would probably get very generic answers.
Something about the water & the fishes that calms me down.

    Polo?
Scientific name? Easier to figure out what fish is that for others...

    Hi Stephen,
Looks like time for a water change and STOP buying fish a period. Let your tank go back to being stablize before attempting more live stock.
