Hi Guys,

Saw a JBJ Digi-Mac Digital Thermometer + Magnetic Cleaner at NA. Thought that it was pretty cool to have these 2 equipment bundled together.

Has any one of you used this product before? Appreciate if you could share your experience with me. Also wondering if the digital thermometer requires annual calibrating.

I've seen them around from different manufacturers, but couldn't be bothered to actually buy one. For one simple reason: The ones I have seen don't float when accidentally disconnected from the magnet. Which comes in really handy given the case. Also I'd rather have a small thermometer in the tank, the sponge has to go in for cleaning only.

Keep in mind this is a really cheap product. I haven't seen them with calibrating thermometers or any features whatsoever. You'll get a cheap magnet sponge with a cheap thermometer. That's about it.

I don't think you can calibate the thermometer, or should I say i don't know how to. But so far, I would say its quite accurate. So no need for calibration yet.
And as mentioned, it does not floats!!!
That came quite as a disappointmenet.
Do beware of the imitation from Boyu!
Heard the thermometre only register a small range of readings.

Thanks for the invaluable feedback. Hmm.. it appears that it might be better to purchase standalone magnetic cleaners and digital thermometers then. Was actually hoping that this is a good product so that I can save some real estate.

Any recommendations of some good models of magnetic cleaners and digital thermometers available in our LFSes? Thanks!
