Try giving us some pictures... I think not many of us, if any at all, would know what is a snowball shrimp...![]()
I'm getting some snowballs in most likely yesterday. I have a cherry tank but i do not want to put them together because they can interbreed. Will it be alright if i kept them with my mollies and platies? I know they will definetly eat the shrimp babies but at this point i'm not planning to breed them yet. Just want to focus on keeping them for now.

I'm crypt collecting... Starting cheap, now have Cryptocoryne beckettii, C.beckettii var petchii, C.crispatula var.balansae, C.griffithii(Melted!), C.nurii, C.parva, C.pygmaea(Melted!
), C.tonkinensis(Melted!
), C.walkeri, C.wendtii 'Brown', C.wendtii 'Green', C.wendtii 'Green Gecko', C.wendtii 'Tropica' and Cryptocoryne x willisii
Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...
heres a link on petshrimp.com with pictures. They are the same species as the red cherry shrimp but all white.
Snapped some pictures of them last night, so here's one. Small specimen here at around 3/8" so not quite as white as they can get.

I just wondering will it mix bread with cherry?Originally Posted by oceans0516
Yes it will breed with the cherry shrimp. I hear what you get is brown shrimp.
Pretty close to it. I've seen hybrids and they're not pretty looking. You're better off just buying ghost/feeder shrimps if you're going to mix cherries and snowballs together.

Eric
I'll just keep them in my other community tank so there wont be hybrids.
