You can try fish haven at Telok Blangah for your blue rams. Anyway in a 4 feet tank, bioload is very low. I have not heard of rams giving problems to Altums. Also you can consider some coral red pencilfish and discus to complete you tank.

I came to know German Blue Ram from postings in AQ and I think I fall in love with these beautiful fish. Yesterday I saw some Rams at Nature Aquarium. They are beautiful. They don't look like blue ram, maybe Holland Ram.
I wonder whether it is a good idea to mix Rams with altums? My new tank size 4ftx2ftx2.5ft(h). It will house 8 juvenile altums currently in my quarantine tank. There are also 2 short body golden algae eaters and 3 small SAEs.
My concern is whether the Rams have any chance to compete for food with the altums. And whether it will be over populated if I add a few Rams considering that altums grow very fast.

Thanks.
I am more worried that the altums will harass the rams.

Provide enough hiding place, there should be no problem![]()

You will be surprised with the speed which the Rams feed...
Before you drop the food, they are there!

I think the rams are going to harass the altums, the ones at fish haven are not small at all.

And I thought Rams are peaceful little fellows. How many types of Rams are there? I only know of German Blue Ram which has more blue and Holland Ram which has more yellow.
