Say, I knopw you guys hate to common sales name, but isn't this also known as the Indian glassfish?

What is known in the trade as Indian Glassfish should be the Chanda ranga commonly used as the base for the painted glassfish. This has apparently been reassigned as Parambassis ranga.

The Gymnochanda genus is only found in Greater Sunda.

Isn't Chanda filamentosa a brackish water fish?

According to Dr. Neale Monks, they need soft, acidic water conditions similar to those of discus and tetras and is therefore unsuitable for brackish water aquaria.

Refering to the weblink in the above posting, this fish is considered rare and has a 'Red List Status' of 53964.

What is that number refering to?
I hope this is OT.
