    I thought I would share my nano bowl with you guys


    This is all very low tech style.
    Natural sunlight is the main light source
    There is no CO2
    The substrate is laterite,water lily compost and plain gravel.
    I fertilise with Excel.
    has been running about 2 months

    Thanks for your kind words.

    Being round and curved made it little hard to scape, plus it was my first nano style tank.
    Still learning !!

    It had some normal guppies in it and a swan river goby but they came out due to water temp variation.( no heater or filter)
    The temp was dropping to 14 C over night
    I'm now deciding what else to try.
    At present all thats swimming in it is some Daphnia.

    i used to have a bowl 'tank' long time ago, but i face filtration problem. Any problem with yours?

    Over 2 - 3 days, my water somehow seems polluted (cloudy, foul smell, seems thick, color change to yellowish brown). Any tips on how to keep your water so clean? I feed my fishes only once a day, only guppies inside. with a few strand of plants.

    I change 50% of water every 3 or 4 days
    that seems to work for me
    plus lots of plants

    yeah... i find that somekind of a hassle.. heh heh heh... but it seems like this is the only way to clear the water. Thank you.
