    Hi All
    I am thinking of adding
    - 2 more cobalt blue dwarf gouramis (OR a small group of 10 rasbora harlequin)
    - some cherry shrimps into my tank

    Need advise on
    1. Would the dwarf gourami start "fighting" with the sparkling gouramis ?
    2. Is this too high a bioload already ?

    Tank Dimensions 2.5 ft x 1.25ft x 1.5 ft
    Vol: about 140 liters / 35 Gal ?

    Currently having the following
    8 x Boraras Maculatus
    4 x Otocinclus
    1 x Yamato
2 x Rineloricaria Sp (whiptail catfish)
7 x Trichopsis pumila (Pygmy Sparkly Gouramis)
    2 x Wood Shrimp
    2 x Albino Bristlenose

Tank is quite heavy planted with
    Cyperus helferi
    Pogostemon helferi (downoi)
    Rotala wallichii
    Bolbitis heudelotii
    Hemianthus callitrichoides (HC)
    Echinodorus 'Red Diamond'

Gouramis are typically not very aggressive except when they are breeding; one exception that I know is the kissing gouramis, they can be fairly aggressive and can grow quite large (>6 inches).

Your bioload is already high; cherry shrimps may be okay (water temperature should be below 28 degrees Celcius), but the additional gouramis may add stress to the balance.

If it's heavily planted but you have enough space for them to swim, I suppose you might just be able to manage it. Make sure you have effective filtration.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
