I have noticed that some of my boraras maculatus has been sick from some disease so wish someone can enlighten me what is killing my boraras maculatus.

Physically, the only difference with the ones which are infected are their colour is turning opaque and white. There is twice I noticed that two of these fishes seems to have their stomach 'eaten' or wasting away even though I do see one of them eat during feeding time.

I have suspected they are infected with dropsy but the synthoms are not so identical to this disease. I will try to post the picture of the stomach that seems to be eaten later and I think when you see the colour of the sick fish,, you will know what I mean.

I have cherry and malayan shrimps in this tank with the boraras maculatus. This is a planted tank with mostly Singapore and Java moss and amazon arrow head (if I remember correctly), and other plants (small pockets of them). Can see this tank in my blog which I called "Planted Tank 1".

    Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I am also encountering similar problems, but with my brigattae instead. One of them is feeding but seems to be suffering as can see the colour is fading and it is getting thinner by the day. I am not sure how long it would last as I had a few which died previously and showing such same symptons too.

    Any clues?
    Cheers,
    Joe

Most of mine has passed away and eaten by the cherries and Malayan shrimps. Saw them did that in front of me. I'm not sure if I should isolate them as I'm not sure if the disease will spread. Since I do not have a proper quarrentine tank, usually transfering them out kills them faster.

Any advice what it the disease and also what is the cause so can do preventive maintenance. Thanks in advance.
