    Hi all out there!

Recently, I started to add some water fertilizer to my tank and after a few days, it seems like it had caused some foam bubbles forming on the surface of the tank. The brand that I used is Sera florona (or something like that)

I have tested the water and realised that the PH had increases from 7 to 7.6
KH has also increase a bit.

Is the water conditions alright? Or is it considered as optimum conditions for my plants and fish?

I had kept some mainly tetras/corydoras/guppies/rasboras.

    Thanks

stop using the fert and see if the foam persists
it might not be a direct effect of the fert, but rather some interaction of the fert with things in the tank
in any case, a waterchange will do some good

usually when i see foam on the top, i think about high organics straightaway

    ninja-
i used to use the same brand- got a algae bloom from it, stop for a while then lower dosage amount & drop to every 14days is enough.

i agree, high organics(aka high protein)in the water, in a while u should get a bio-film on the surface(sort of oily surface layer).

Hmm .. ok, I have stop the fertilizer and did some water change. There are still bubbles foam. I'll wait and see.

However, I did see my pearl gourami sucking some of the bubbles from the surface and then spit out the bubbles back to the water surface.

Dunno if it's the Gouramis that is the culprit.

Well, just about 1-2 days ago, I had float some riccia and realised that more foams are being form!
