Don't ask me how they taste. I was told they cook them with cheese. XÞ

Aren't you guys afraid that the Apple Snails will get out of the tank?
    P-L-E-C-O-R-Y=M-A-N-I-A!!! YEAH!
FLORENCE, capital of the region of Tuscany, has a population of around half a million inhabitants, spreads on the banks of the Arno, between the Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian seas, almost in the middle of the Italian peninsula. It is a city which bustles with industry and craft, commerce and culture, art and science.

Hard to find it...It usually hide behind the tank...I notice the size of it only when i on the light at night and caught it by surprise....He was sucking on the algae wafer which is mean for my cories...Haha

I only have one left....All the rest died for no reason...He's the strongest survivor

Well, once a while, they will come out and play...out of the tank. So you need to cover your tank. At the moment, I m having double rack with 2.5 feet tank. Top tank are full of golden apple snail and bottom are my planted tank.

Once a while, I will found few of them crawling in my planted tank...so just need to pick them to put it back to where they belong. Later I found out, if I just put 2/3 of water for my tank, they will not crawl out.

At yesterday count, I got 153 golden apple snail. Next week I m going to stock in 5 zebra snail. Will keep you all posted.

    hi,

my apple snail just laid some eggs.. 2 clusters of eggs..

however, the colour isn't as pink as the one shown in post #14 and #16..
    questions: is it unfertilised? or
does it belong to another type of apple snail?

    Cheers

Well, I m not so sure also. But as I know, the color could be bit different, as my apple snail laid few time...and its always different a bit, more pink/ more white. But when its ready, usually it will turn white and then the baby snail will come out.

At the moment, I only have golden apple snail, so I haven't see other apple snail egg yet. For more details, you could goto www.applesnail.net

Poop? You sure? Man..this is the first time I heard about this case...but just to double comfirm, do you mean "shit" ??

As far as my apple snail, i saw them eating plant, vegetables, dead fish, dead clam, my filter sponge, bone .... but NOT poo!

But to think about it...its also a good news. Then you no need to do any water change loh! Hehehehe....
