Picked up a few of these from C328. Read that they are cave spawners, males can be distinguished by the hump on the head (mature adults), female can be distinguished by a yellow patch on her stomach (is this the only way to tell? some pictures of male seem to have this yellow patch as well?).

May have picked up mixed sexes in them. Though not planning to breed them (as yet), has anyone been able to try breed them successfully?

I have problems keeping them alive long enough to breed (or make a decent shot of them). Nonetheless lovely fish when it catches light the right way.

One of them is freaking aggressive, always flaring and chomping at the other two, and uprooting plants in the process *headache*. Should be the one captured in picture.

I saw them at C328 last week and was also tempted to buy them. They were very active despite being kept in the small plastic bags. Though a bit too jumpy.

Oh yes, they can be rather skittish at times. So need to house them in the largest tank with as many hiding places possible.

Yes, supposedly can be kept with Corydoras. But they tend to stay at the bottom level most of the time. Therefore, real estate may be a problem with other bottom dwelling fish as they will defend their territory aggressively, although I don't think any harm will happen to Corydoras. You probably need to provide some hiding places and a tank with a larger footprint, excluding T. ocellicauda's territory, to cater for Corydoras to forage.

Still juveniles? Not certain but possibly a male.

As juvenile males grow older and mature sexually, they will develop nuchal humps (fleshy lump on the top of the head of a fish), like CK's fish in post #23.
