Another Chiller alternative

The power rating looks kind of attractive actually lower as compare to average brands! Anyone using one of these chiller?

Example Artica chiller
1/10 hp = 225W
1/5 hp = 360W
1/4 hp = 430W
1/2 hp = 600W

Whereas PCC chiller
1/7 hp = 110W
1/3 hp = 250W
1/2 hp = 370W
3/4 hp = 560W

Refrigerant: R22 / 143a
Temperature display: 2-digit decimal place.
Temperature Control Resolution : 0.1 °C
Dimension (mm): 480L x 360W x 460H
Casing : Not as attractive as those in the market

Btw i'm not associated in any way with the stated company above, happen to see this chiller known as PCC Reef Aquarium Chillers while search for my MH bulbs. Lighting distributor selling chillers??

Just curious.. what BTU are each of the different sizes of PPC chillers?

Assumptions:
- 1/2 HP PPC chiller (370W) as effective as 1/2 HP Hailea (480W) in terms of BTU.
- The chiller run 6hrs per day.
- 1 kWh = S$0.2115
- ignore time value of money

Based on the prevailing market price of the chiller, it takes >19 years to recoup the addition upfront price .. so I think it is not worth it.

Haaaa! talk about the worthiness of the product. i 'm currently blind and deaf by the burning passion in me haaaa.

Btw i just brought the MH Solite light Type 3 at cut throat price !!!!

But i still its better to have more brands out in the market rather then just few that monopolies. More choices and also push indivdual brands to work harder in creating better furture product.
