Java moss? I think the pic is not clear and up-close enough....its structure and "leaves" shape is very different from the java moss that I have now....

It has clearly spaced out sharp pointing leaves unlike java moss that has "hairs" which are closely knitted...

    Any websites with moss id?

shiyong, you have it growing quite nicely there.

I chucked mine because it's kind of messy. Should have seen what you've did with it.

    Hi,
I have the same moss in my tanks. It just showed up one year when I was slow at cleaning the tank. Its great for babies and is very pretty and doesn't fall apart easy, but it sends off spores (?) and they attach e v e r y w h e r e and it can be invasive...so beware!

I am not sure they are called "spores" I just used that term for lack of knowing the real term for what appear to start out as small dots and very slowly grow into the fern type plant that was pictured. The only way to get them off rocks, glasss and other plants is to scrape the spores (?) off with a blade or trim them off with scissors. I am not sure if they traveled in one time when I brought another plant or in water from a new fish? Or maybe in the water system, since I had not had them in my tanks until I moved and thats when they showed up.
On another note...I just bought two new Angels, babies, to replace my last angel fish I had for 10 years. My question is this...do females get along better together than all males. I have learned that 1 female and 2 males are trouble, but I love the friendly and beautiful angels and I hope I made the right choice with 3 young female angels. Anyone know about this subject?
