Hey Folks, may not be new to some. But like to share with U all something I just found out at least for newbies like me.

For the past weeks .. maybe months I dunno ... I notice my eyes getting blurr during Computer session.

Darn! Yesterday I take a close look at my monitor screen and noticed a slight vibrating motion in the montor image.
No wonder my eyes get tired sub-conciously and unable to focus properly.

The I start to do all the PC Software setting debugging ... to no avail. And finally endup fiddling with the power lines. "OFF" the Powerhead filter motor and the screen immediately flip back to sharp image. Geee ...

This is the Price to pay for 2FT standard setup items ... next time I will look fo FCC, EMC logo stuffs before buying.

hey is your pump near your computer monitor?
if it's near maybe it's the magnetic energy from the pump that is interfering with the monitor.

    Hi,

Try relocating your powerhead and the powerpoint away from your monitor and I think that should help.

Surely I can do setup moving, change power point to minimise the problem.

But I am addressing the EMC Quality of the product which should not happen in the first place.

This can cause serious health damage for pp not aware of it.

cory- u sure its the pump?
i got that too once in a while but i give a bang to the cpu & all is fine, or i just CTRL+ALT+DEL.
i thought its to do wif the graphic card & connection(which does happen wif no filters within 100metres to me before),cause i didn't touch the filter.
i running a ehiem ecco 2235 abt 2inches away from the CPU on the floor.
But it could be that ur monitor near to some source of output-just like putting a radio or handphone next to it.

I knwo there are many reason why we have vibs images including video cable, radio and handphone. But for my case, I have 3 different pumps sharing the same mains. Only a particular one has this problem.
When I "OFF" the pump, the sympton gone. "ON" it and it comes back. Done it twice.

Anyway this is meant to alert anyone who is not aware of the health issue subconciously.

Dunno can say out the brand or not. Wait Kenna sue until bankrupt. Ha.[]

hmm .. does those have to do with the magnetic field interference caused by the pump?
