    hmmm, i have one of this toy .. the procedure is ...
    on the set, put in water, shake it to remove bubbles, wait for abt a min to read the readings

    the pH pen thingy has a probe that can detect the acidity and alkalinity of the water. takes awhile b4 it issues a reading.

    yup, i think some test pens come with a calibration thingy. but i guess the more up-market pens have automatic detection. []

    you will need to calibrate the test pen after a period of use
    the probe reading will drift
    this is why there's a pH 7 solution included in most packages
    to calibrate, just fill the pen cap with the buffer solution, use the adjusting tool to tune to 7, and voila, ready to use
