I want to go back to Sarawak!! (except the part where the last picture is taken).
Choy should talk to you about making a documentary man! Some of these places are worthy of documenting for sure.
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
I'll buy Olympus mju 720SW when I got $$$ in the future to photograph the under water of Sarawak....except the under world of crocodile.Originally Posted by benny

Beautiful mosses on the rock (near water edge):
This is my second time to visit this river but its the first time to survey the fish fauna in this tributary of middle part of Sungai Sarawak. An unidentified species of aquatic plant which is probably a species of Cryptocoryne was found by my outdoor friend few years ago. I'm coming here to search this unidentify species. This river is quite long and it got a lot of small tributaries. Time is almost running out as inter monsoon is coming, follow by the rainy season. The water level will rise again and I have to come back to explore (as many time as possible) before the rainy season come.
Another pix of this river (name is not disclosed):

Found Dendrobium secundum again. A big population of this species of orchid is growing on the trees along the river. Right now is the flowering season for this beautiful orchid.

But it only works well in clear water streams. All other habit will give you nice pictures of various shades of brown.Originally Posted by kuching

1st picture looks like an excellent camping site, if not for my condition, I surely visit
Well, I think I'll buy Olympus mju 725sw....a new version of 720sw, but I don't think it is available in the market here. Is it available in S'pore?Originally Posted by benny
I think the fish looks better in brownish water rather than clearwater. From my experiance, R. pauciperforata in blackkwater got very reddish stripe rather than the same species which got almost no colour at all which is found in a clearwater stream.

I brought back that orchid to my home. I took that shot at my garden. There is very big empty space behind the orchid (hence no shadow) and my left hand was holding it on the air while my right hand was pressing the shutter. Now u get the "picture"?Originally Posted by hwchoy
