Help with UV light & canister filter!

I'm intending to buy any canister to fix to a UV light. I don't want to buy an Eheim because its too expensive. Any one has any suggestion? And which brand of UV light is good?

I won't compromise on the external callister since I remember reading somewhere that a non-branded callister actually caused a fire in a residence home. Regardless of which brand you decide, make sure its from a reputable company.

As for the UV light, they are normally the same as the tube are always glass and light bulb philips....
