    superchevy,

Please post your queries in the correct forums. Shrimp discussion goes in the invetebrate section, not vivariums. I will move it there for you.

The information you ask for is frequently discussed. Have a look through the invertebrate forum.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

cherry shrimps do well in the temperature. Death could due to other factor, can consider provide more information of your tank.

the deaths could be due to excessive nitrates in the tank.
it would be good to do a check on the pH and nitrates in your tank

I have both Malayan Shrimps at home (temperature around 27 to 28 degrees C) and in office (temperature around 24 to 26 degrees C). All doing well and carry eggs. May need to know how big is your tank and what kind of plants do you have? Moss would be great for shrimps.

superchevy, it would do us good, if you're able to provide your tank specifications. How old the tank setup is important as well. How do you introduce shrimps into your tank? Do you acclimatise them?
Do you also have any potential predator in your tank as well?

somehow i think the deaths got to do with adding 100 at one go more than anything else

especially when buying so many at once usually will get some weak specimens that won't make it

what kind of filter are you using? How often do you do water change? What's your bioload like?
Do you do acclimatisation when you introduce your shrimps into your tank?
