    The fertilisation might not be enough depending on your tank's amount of plants/needs

    Some of the plants turn dull greyish green then translusent is this a sign of insufficient fertilisation. Also notice that some newly grown plants are yellowish instead of green. haven't change or any fetilisation since day 1 about 10 to 12 days ago.
    What's your recommendation for additional fertilisation?
    thanks

    Yes it most likely is. You need, other than the abovementioned Flourish products , Flourish Nitrogen, Flourish Phosphorous, Flourish Potassium.

    Are you dosing CO2? If so, follow the instructions on the bottles. If you're not, don't do water changes (just water top ups) and add half the stated dose only once a week.

    if you are not having co2, can also try add in seachem excel, of cuz by doing this, you will need water change of 50% weekly, but your growth rate will be faster. Btw how much lighting you have?

    hirowen
    if i get excel do i still need the others ?
    my plant is growing and also at the same time rotting or melting.
    newly grown parts have slim and yellowish leaves also one of the plant the whole newly grown portion roted away but old part still intact.

    went to a few LFS today but were unable to get the Seachem fert. anyone has info please advise. saw seachem nitrogen and prime at a LFS in farmart but cost $14 a bottle. find it too ex so did not buy as i will be getting Flourish, Equlibrium, Nitrogen, Pottasium, Phosphorus... so is quite a sum of money. is $14 the norm or is there anywhere selling at better price ?

    tank specs
    pressurised co2 at 1bps
    light 2 sets of (1x14W blue tube and 1x14W White 12000k)
    tank size: 121L
    tank measurement: 60x45x45cm

    oh yah. has tank temperature got anything to with the melting plants. as tank temperature can go as high as 30.5 during day time and about 28.5 most of the time. do not have any fan as will be going to guangzhou this month end and thinking of getting a chiller there.. maybe cheaper.

    thanks

    Hi, actually you dont have to buy the whole range of seachem products. just keep seachem equalibrium and flourish. Then go buy Lushgro's KNO3 and KH2PO4. These 2 powder fert will take care of Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium. You can get it from NA. It is much much much cheaper. You can check it out here. If you can get a cheaper chiller it'll be good, but for a 2ft tank and if you not keeping cold water plant, add in 2 DC fan is enough already. Temp must not more than 28 degree. Last but not least, increase your light to 55watt. So plant melted may due to low lighting.
    So in conclusion:
    - Fert --> Seachem flourish, equilibrium, KNO3, KH2PO4
    - Temp --> Chiller or Fan (not more than 29deg)
    - Lighting --> incr to 55watt

    Hope this help.

    There is no fixed fert regime. If i'm your case, my fert regime will be :
    - seachem flourish 3x a week
    - KNO3 and KH2PO4 3x a week
    - 50% WC per week
    - Seachem Equilibrium after WC
