I have been keeping butterfly fishes in 4 ft non coral tank. I have a problem that is the fishes are not eating pellets and flakes but always seem to be looking for food. I also worry chopped live food will pollute water. Any recommendation?

The fish type is rancoon butterfly (lunaris). Tried what you recommended but only ate a little and then seemed to 'stare' at the brine shrimps. The fish is still very lively and constant look out for food. Can I try freshwater red worm?

Copperbands are very difficult to keep? Heard that they need live rocks and coral where they can find worms and invertebrates to feed.

the rancoon tried blood worm and ate little bit. Hope it slowly convert to dry food else sure......

Confirmed. Fish died this morning . Butterfly fishes are meant for very experienced aquarists.

Will now stick to Hawk fish and damsels.
