Cleaning airstone

Most of us have used airstones b4. After prolong use, the airstone doesn't give out tiny bubbles evenly anymore. Is there a way to 'clean' the airstone so that the tiny bubbles can come out again?

bleaching them in household bleach (about 1hr) followed by a wash in vinegar should help
