well it depends on how you measure the "worth" of a fish.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

You want the fish as a cleaning tool? Then just buy a 1.50 buck oto...
The Paraotocinclus sp "Peru" is not a mere cleaning tool... It is much much much more sensitive a fish to water parameters and diet than the normal Otocinclus affinis.
Some of the more experienced fish keepers failed to keep the fish alive for more than 3 months! That's how difficult this fish can be...
