Not sure. Could be algae.
Or the mucus from snails? Is your tank infested with snails?
Recently I saw some web thing in my plants. I would like to know what is that. Is it some kind of algae? Is it some water insect web? Anyone have similar experience? Any sugestion to get rid of it?
Thanks

Hm... though I did saw some small white thing swimming around. Very small like a dust. Don't know what is that can't take picture, too small. I can't even see what it is looks like
I wonder if this is white spot parasite
Hi Shadow,
It could be fungus. Do you have some Yamatos or fish like platys in your tank? They would usually make short work of fungus.

Sheesh.... work is really keeping me away from my hobby

The small white creatures swimming around could either be tiny water mites or very tiny worms. They all are always present in the water, just waiting for excess food to sustain their population growth. They are harmless, just unsightly if their population is too high.
The ich (white spot) parasite is too small for the naked human eye to see... The spots you see on the affected fish is a 'clump' of parasites waiting to be released into the water...
This 'web' thing? Very likely to be some form of algae... You can try using a toothpick to twirl it out...

Seems like the spider web thing is the protein in the surface. Filter current stir it and stuck on the tall plants.
I have some green spider web like thingy on my moss and hairgrass..
i think its algae..
Do i remove it by using a tooth pick to twirl it out??
If not how do i go about removing this pesky thing?
It has being growing quite repidly.
And 1 last question, how do i prevent it from growing?
So sorry for ask ing so much questions and hi jacking this thread.
Thank you.
Cheers!!!
Never mind, I want to listen as well. Though the spider thing in my tank is different. I believe it was just the protein layer on the surface which is stir by filter.

Same over here. But it will only appear whenever I uproot my plants or driftwood. The decompose material or dirt will formed web-like appearance. But why is it web-like, i'm not too sure. It shouldn't be algae. Just stir them in water and they will disappear for good. The dirt will just settle down on gravel. Suck them up in your next water change.
God will make a way, where there seems to be no way
