currently have a small fan for my 1ft tank.
Its diameter is about 6cm and manage to lower my tank's temp to 27.5 degreeC.
Wondering if I buy a bigger fan, will i be able to lower it till round 26?
I know there is a limit to what a fan can do. Just wondering if anyone achieve round 26 degreesC for his/her 1 ft tank using fan only

26c is achievable for 1ft tank using fan. look for one with higher ampere, big fan not necessary be better. check out on Profantec fan, rather effective.

I know NA has the fan. The most a fan can drop the temperature of the water is about 2 degrees. It's the temperature fo the surrounding air that plays an important part.

P.S. This is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

And also amount of water for topups caused by evaporation.

What is your surrounding temperature normally?
    what is the fan size?
Do profantec comes in different sizes?
Still having difficulty to which size i should get?
    thanks

bigger fan = faster cooling effect. but the min temp which it can reduce is the same if u use smaller fans.

1 fact is that BIgger fan = faster evaporation rate!
i'm ADDicted to this wonderful hobby

The lowest your water can be with a fan is the ambient temperature...
Like Taz_boy say, the fan speed only affects the speed at which evaporation occurs, thereby speed at which the water cools down...

Having an airy surrounding will help... NA has cool water due to its airy shop space... Try doing that in C328... With the same setup, it will not be able to attain those kind of temperature...

My profantec fan is the same size as those that we can get in LFS. Tank is placed in my living room, so i don't really measure my surrounding temperature, there's no direct sunlight or any heat source other than m profantec fan's heat. I guess that plays a part in the temperature too.

higher amperage fans > 0.15a are noisy but are faster. faster fans should cool a little better. the cooling effect depends on the surrounding ambient temperature and relative humidity.
