Wonder if this thing last in saltwater. Clementi too far from my place. Miahael, do you know the price?
Hi Guys,
Found this while windowshopping at C328, got to be 1 of the smallest powerhead I',ve ever seen. Anyway, flowrate is just 40 gallons/ hour just nice for planted tank. Somemore made in Japan.

If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.

Mohamad Rohaizal is my name. If it's too hard, use BFG. I don't mind.
It is really very small...

check your mailbox, guys. I've just installed it, works like a gem just the right flow. I'm actually also using it to inject O2 into the tank at night using the tube so I don't have to use a pump and diffuser.

what size of tank you use with?

It's a 3 footer, richie but there is alot of moss inside so didn't want something too powerful.

can pm me the price? I think these are very good to improve water circulation in a densely planted tank with DW.
can I use this powerhead emerged(whereby the output is directed out at water surface level) ??
Perfect! I've been looking for something like that long time.

looks perfect for eliminating any dead spots in circulation
hi kemp, I wanna use it as a form of producing surface movement without the motor entering the water column. Not sure if it is feasible.Originally Posted by kemp

You don't need to submerse the WHOLE motor housing into the water. but the bottom half has to be under water in order to draw water up for pumping. If you look at Mike's pictures. there is a fine line of text just above the "220V - 50Hz" text -- that is the minimum water level. The rest of the motor can operate above that, but if you're using a fan to cool your tank, I'd caution you to do daily water level checks.
BTW, looking at these pictures again, realised mine came without the suction cup. Looks like I have to make a trip down to C238 again.

People, it doesn't comes with suction cup, that 1 $0.50. The powerhead was originally meant for undergravel filters. Anyway, pass by NA the other day. IT seems there is another similar sized powerhead by Eden, almost the same price and another by Sonic(china brand) which was very cheap.(almost half the price) so that's alot to chose from.

From the pics, the impeller is external?
