You put your hand in the tank and pat your moss slowly a few times. This will cause the mulm trapped in it to puff out. So standby a gravel vacuum to vacuum this fallout.

I see, that is interesting, will the moss fell out if they do not grow/grab on the wood? Some of my moss just droping out when I move them around.

You have to be gentle if the moss is not anchored properly to a rock or Driftwood. IMHO if it comes off easily then you may as well retie it or harvest it.
