Does anyone know how to remove oyama background from the tank?
I am into Plecos now...

peel from one corner to another. however last time i had it removed, did not left any sticky stains on glass.(could be due to age of paper used)
else can consider using hair dryer to blow the same time you peel, will prevent sticky stains leaving on glass.

Just pull it off. The sticky leftover can be remove easily by using Zippo fluid which cost less than $3 I think.

What kind of advice are those?
I am sure the guy who asked the question also know that at some stage, he got to pull the paper off, it's the sticky mess which he is concerned.
It is no wonder moderators here try to maintain the use of proper English, and do lots of policing on discussions, I wouldn't want AQ to end up like those forums.
Lest I go out of point here, wasabi8888, aside from lighter fuild, you can also try medical rubbing alcohol (those used for cleaning skin prior to injections).

for the sticky mess. you can use any branded medication oil. e.g Axe Oil

Bascially. Any kind of mild solvent will help get the left over glue off. But before applying the solvents, I suggest you use your palm and roll back and forth over the left over glue. Sometimes you can roll off a fair bit. Then apply the solvent on the stubborn bits, leave it for a few minutes and then wipe them off. Finish by wiping clean the entire surface with a cloth dampened with some of the solvent.

Careful with the glass mating egde where the silicon are, especially when you are using the solvent or other strong chemicals it may accidentally melts or accelerated hardening process to the silicon.
You never know what kind reaction it might causes to the silicon...Maybe try the top egde or "unused area" before you work your way down to the rest.
If not at least standby a few tissue to wipe off those drooling solvent off before it reaches the silicon

In that case don't use the solvent near the silicon, cause the leftover glue can be removed without solvents... just more manual work involved.
Actually, I just remembered, you can use a normal pencil eraser on those at the edge. Just use it as if you ar trying to erase the glue.

to save yourself possibilities of a bad blister you can use plain paper to rub at the glue with/without the mild solvent.

If you can get it in the hardware store, there is this brand of adhesive remover called 'Goo Gone'.
Yea, your silicon will be gone too....
Anyway, I used zippo fluid quite frequently but had never tried on fish tank or silicon. I had used it to remove carbon on my computer parts (RAM, graphic cards etc), clean fishing equipments (reels, gears), remove oil from my hands etc without much problems. However, still use it at your own risk....
I've used lighter fluid on a glass tank before; was trying to remove the "sticky" portions of a label on the new tank. It didn't seem to cause any kind of damage on the tank, although because I was unsure, I was pretty careful with the amount of pressure I used.

Found a excellence method in removing those sticker marking leftover by the oyama stickers and labels. Further it does not even corrode the plastic in anyway. It works very much like thinner but it is very much low in term of dissloving strength, thus there's not worry of the slovent " eating into the plastic".
Common name : Turpentine
Cost : Approx. $3~6 per bottle
Available : Any hardware shop or paint shop
Method :Pour a little on a cloth, gently rub against the sticky surface,
change over and clean up the residue.
Note: However i have yet to test all different kinds of plastic, thus do perform a "touch test" of the solvent on the application surface before any large area of usage. For plastic, if you observe the surface start to roughen or blur out, stop immediately wash and rinse in water to stop the reaction .
